To Lon & Anita's surprise, Reese arrived 4 weeks early. While the nursery wasn't 100% finished, it didn't matter. Reese was here and we were extremely excited to meet him. He was born on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at 1:30 in the afternoon. It was the first day of summer, and the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. We figured that Reese wanted to make sure that he would always have the longest day of the year as his birthday so the party could go on the longest. I know many of you want to see all the pictures we have so far, so I've tried to divide them into sections for easier viewing.

THE Newspaper Article Everyone's Talking About

For those of you who never read it, or just want to reread it, I've attached it here. This is the article that made the front page of the Metropolitan section of the Kansas City Star. Our neighbors, Kirk and Stacy Ackerson, are pictured with us.

Candid Shots

These are random shots from around the house that really didn't go into any category. They span from 1-8 weeks of age for Reese.

Disney Store and 50th Anniversary Celebration

No, he hasn't been to the theme parks . . . yet. But Reese has been to The Disney Store and even celebrated Disneyland's 50th Anniversary with a little cake.
(He just looked at the cake, he didn't eat any.)

Visitors

Many people have visited Reese, or Reese has even traveled to see some people as well. Here are some of the many people who couldn't wait to hold him.

Reese's First Holiday - The 4th of July

Reese didn't really get into the spirit of the holiday . . . but that could be because he was less than 2 weeks old.

Reese's First Bath

Reese was not very happy with his parents for giving him his first bath. But was much happier with the towel afterwards.

Home from the Hospital

Our neighbors decided to do something special for us when we arrived at home.

In the Hospital

These were all the pictures taken in the hospital from Tuesday to Friday.

The Nursery

For those who haven't seen it yet, here is the nursery for Reese. We hope he will enjoy his "Farmer Mickey Mouse" room.
